Blueprint Gaming is very interesting from the Finnish perspective. This is because the game provider is also known for its Jackpot King concept. In Kasinoranking’s opinion it is a big minus if a casino does not offer Blueprint Gaming slots.

Where are you based and how many employees do you currently have?
Blueprint is based in Newark in the UK and supplies games to online operators across the globe. We have 120+ staff members, with our team growing considerably following the acquisitions of game studios Livewire Gaming and Project. We absolutely love slots and play them regularly to help inspire us to deliver the next best thing in games provision. The foundations in place at the company has enabled us to deliver a diverse and ever-expanding games library to casinos worldwide.
I personally love the fact that Blueprint Gaming slots are a versatile mix of different games such as Jackpots and Megaways etc. In Blueprint Gaming’s view, which features create the perfect slot?
We’re completely focused about creating unique moments in gaming. To achieve this, we lean on a variety of gaming mechanics, features and themes to bring a really fun gaming experience to players. Ultimately, the features that create a popular slot are the ones that keep players coming back for more. Some of our most successful slots are the ones jam-packed with multiple bonus rounds and in-game reel modifiers, which players really favour as it allows them to experience several new levels of the gameplay.
I’m sure the team would agree that there isn’t a single feature which makes the perfect slot, as different players look for different things in games. Some prefer the feature-rich entertainment, some look for the big win jackpot games, others want the harder profile games seeking the adrenalin rush of the big feature explosion. We try to cater for the widest audience with our diverse range of titles, themes and mechanics.
Megaways™ has firmly established itself within the iGaming sector and has become an important tool to incorporate within our games too. As the first supplier to acquire the licence from Big Time Gaming, we’re proud of the way we’ve integrated the mechanic into our games and took it to a new level. We’re constantly delivering new concepts to the market and our Lightning Spins™ feature is the latest example of this. Since launching this year, the bonus feature has proved very popular with players and we’re looking to add Lightning Spins™ to more titles next year.
How many games do you plan to release monthly or yearly?
We have a strong product roadmap that sees us consistently delivering a mix of games to online casinos. This year, including exclusive content with some of our operating partners, will have seen us release in excess of 50 games to the marketplace, so Blueprint fans know they never have to wait too long for the next instalment from our ever-expanding portfolio.
Do you have logic or a blueprint you follow in new game designs? How do you try to be more creative than your competitors?
Any new title that we create has to meet our unique style – a fun game that features lots of laughs along the way, but most importantly, delivering an enjoyable gaming experience and reward players with value for time, while also adhering to the strict measures of responsible gambling, which is something we take very seriously at Blueprint.
Players will always come back if they resonate with the theme, graphics, animation and sound as much as the game structure. With a dedicated team passionate about slots, we’re never short of ideas and are determined to think outside of the box to bring the next big innovation to the slots world.
It’s important we stay ahead of the curve, which is why we’re always developing new concepts and keeping ourselves up-to-date with the latest trends. We’ve delivered some strong releases this year and are well placed to develop even more games that players will want and enjoy in 2021.
What are your greatest innovations that are unique to Blueprint Gaming?
Our Jackpot King progressive system is one of the innovations that we’re really proud of and is still loved by a variety of players to this day. The progressive pot system is live across a number of operators and has created several different millionaires since its inception. The concept is simple, players can win huge prizes off any spin and stake when playing a Blueprint title that incorporates the jackpot functionality. We’ve evolved the system to include Royal and Regal pots that deliver wins on a more regular basis alongside the main pot.
The way in which we have taken Megaways™ forward by putting our own twist on the mechanic is something that we take great pride in too. Many game providers have incorporated Megaways™ into their own games, but we’ve gone that extra step to make sure players receive something different with each game we produce with the mechanic. We’ve been able to tweak the mechanic, introducing varying pay lines and not sticking with the traditional 117, 649 ways format as has been seen with other license holders.
Finns love Jackpots (and very high volatility slots in general) – Should we expect to see more jackpot games from Blueprint Gaming?
Absolutely, Jackpot King remains very popular with players and we’re always looking to add more games to the progressive pot system to keep it fresh and appealing. We understand there’s a segment of players who only play jackpot games to secure big prizes, and we’ll continue to deliver new content to keep them happy.
What can we expect from Blueprint Gaming in the upcoming months?
We’re ending 2021 on a real high as we release the eagerly anticipated sequel to our blockbuster title, Rick and Morty™ Megaways™. The dimension hopping duo are returning to the reels following the huge success of the original release from earlier this year. This latest version, Rick and Morty™ Wubba Lubba Dub Dub, is set to be a cracker as it’s full of in-game modifiers and bonus features, all based on classic episodes and characters from the animated series.
With great animations backed with engaging mechanics, we’re confident this will be another strong performer for us. The whole design team have done brilliantly to evolve the original release by including new free spins rounds and a Big Money feature.
