We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategically minded Commercial Analyst to join our team. This role bridges the gap between finance and commercial teams, delivering key insights and analytics to support decision-making, optimise performance, and drive business growth.
You’ll play a key role in supporting financial performance and commercial decision-making. You will develop and maintain commercial models, support revenue forecasting, and deliver insightful financial reporting to empower our commercial teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain commercial models, particularly focused on promotional incentives and contract renewals.
- Develop and maintain a robust revenue estimation method to enable more timely and accurate performance reporting across the business.
- Create and maintain financial reports using both excel and Power BI, including but not limited to Third Party Brand Licensing, Revenue Tracking and Estimation, and Royalty Calculations.
- Responsible for supporting the monthly Commercial reporting process in collaboration with the BI team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of reporting outputs.
- Proactively communicate financial data and insights to the Commercial team, ensuring transparency and equipping them with the necessary information and tools to support effective decision-making.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Finance, Commercial, and cross-functional teams to ensure effective information sharing and collaboration, as well as fielding financial questions from other teams.
- Prepare and support the delivery of customer royalty statements, identifying and investigating any anomalies, and ensuring all relevant teams are informed of significant issues.
- Conduct audits of rate changes related to promotional incentives and royalty statements to ensure accurate revenue recognition and application.
- Analyse promotional incentives to identify optimisation opportunities and share actionable insights with the wider team to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist in the management of bad debt provisioning by communicating with relevant stakeholders and following up to ensure timely resolution and accurate reporting.
- Leverage finance data to identify and lead initiatives that enhance efficiency in collaboration with commercial teams.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a commercial, finance or business analyst role.
- Strong analytical and data visualization skills, including expert use of Excel and knowledge of Power BI.
- Proficiency in forecasting and modelling commercial and financial situations.
- Ability to understand financial data and its commercial implications.
- Understanding of commercial processes, licensing agreements, royalty calculations, and possible promotional incentive structures.
- Ability to pro-actively problem solve, identify and investigate anomalies.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working within and a good understanding of online Gambling sector.
- Experience in producing commercial and financial models, with a familiarity for forecasting and scenario analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders within a business.
- Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiencies across the business.
- Experience in international markets and multi-currency financial reporting.
